Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent make-up that enhances the color of the lips. Lip blushing can either be done very softly to create a lip tinted appearance, or the color can be made to create a richer lipstick look.
Lip blushing is also used to neutralize dark lip tones in order to create a more nude/peachy-pink tone to the lips. Furthermore, dark lip neutralization is great for uneven toned lips to help blend the overall color of the lips together.
What to Expect:
Duration of procedure: approximately 2.5 hours
Color selection is discussed in office with provider
Swelling and bruising is common post-procedure
1-2 weeks recovery
Color will settle and develop over the course of 6-8 weeks
Dark Lip Neutralization and Lip Blushing
Pictured, here, is a client who underwent dark lip neutralization before her color session. For clients with naturally dark lips, it is very important to neutralize the lip tone before adding the desired color. If one attempts to just add color from the start, the result may end up undesirable with further darkening of the lips, uneven tone, and a color that does not fit the client's desired look.
